The Barony of Arn Hold will be holding an Archery and Fighting event
on the weekend of October 17-19th.

We are putting out a special challenge to the Populace of this great Kingdom to bring your bows, your swords, your rapiers and YOUR SIEGE WEAPONS!

That's right, the first ever "Fetchez la Vache" (or as we like to call it, "Fetchez la Moose") will be happening that weekend at the Call to Arms event (formerly Challenge of Sherwood).

This will be an archery & fighting camping event at the Scofield Ranch in Emmett on the banks of the beautiful Payette River on October 17-19th in preparation for war!

Here we are also holding our “Fechez la Vache” Siege Engine Competition with prizes a plenty. Come enjoy Rapier and Armor fighting war scenarios featuring THE GAUNTLET.

Classes will include a beginners leatherworking class, a Combat Archery Ammo class and a special hands on demo of Silk Banner Painting that students will be able to participate in.

Friday evening is traditionally Arn Hold’s archery practice and we will have the archery lines open Friday night for all archers at the event to join us in a preview of some of Saturday’s targets.

Bring your songs, stories & smores (chocolate is period, right?) for the Friday Night Revelry and Saturday Night Bardic circle around our blazing bonfire.

Site opens on Friday at 4pm and closes after the completion of the Siege Engine Competition on Sunday no later than 5pm. Camping will be available and above ground fires are allowed.

The site is wet and no pets please.

There is a nearby river and irrigation ditches on site that is off limits and children should be supervised at all times for safety’s sake.

Please see the Event Program at the Reeve’s table when checking in for site rules.

Arn Hold will be drawing the winning ticket for our Bow and Arrow Raffle at the Call to Arms event.

The winner will receive a 30lb recurve bow, a dozen arrows, a handmade quiver, and an arm guard.

*** You do not need to be present to win. ***
